We all want a better health for us and our family. I am a person who prefers eating healthy food over exercising more to burn extra calories. I believe it’s good to eat junk less and minimize gym duration. My kitchen is the soul of my house. My family members love eating home cooked food. It encourages me to cook good food for them. So I do lots of research about healthy cooking. This post is just for sharing my experience that I found beneficial. I will appreciate if you go through the complete post before deciding anything.

- Aluminium Utensils
Aluminium is a slow poison. Doctors say that aluminium dissolves in water during the cooking process. If you are not able to replace them suddenly, then try to put the cooked food in another safe container the moment it is cooked. So I opted for iron and stainless steel utensils.
- Plastic food containers
I was using many plastic containers for several days. I read that old plastic containers are not BPA free. Which could increase health risks. Heating cooked food in plastic containers releases toxins, which are harmful for our health. So I opted to change them with new BPA free containers and stainless steel jars.
- Nonstick pans
After using these pans for several days I found that its surface was decaying with time. It was a proof that the coating was decaying with every use. I started reading about it and come to know that many scientists from all over the world have accepted that these pans are coated with harmful chemicals. So I stopped using all such non stick pans in my kitchen and used them as planters.
- Aluminium foil
We all need to preserve food for a long time. Aluminium foil gives us flexibility to make our cooked food fresh and hot for a little longer. When we wrap our hot food in foil it absorbs a bit of aluminium from the surface and we take it directly to our body with food. I started using cotton cloth and butter paper. - Plastic water bottles
Plastic water bottles are a very convenient option to carry and store water. The problem is, cleaning them properly and they are not health friendly for a long use. In fact, it takes several years to decompose these bottles. So I opted for stainless steel bottles. They are very easily available on amazon with affordable cost. - Chopping board

I used to chop vegetables on my old plastic chopping board. Although I assured to clean it on a regular basis. But came to know that after several uses bacteria stays on it even after regular cleaning. So I replaced it with a wooden chopping board. - Refined oil
When we heat refined oil for frying or cooking it produces a form of unsaturated fat known as Trans fat, which is absorbed by our food and this food become unhealthy for our body. Regular use of these oils can result in increased cholesterol level.
I started cooking and frying in mustard oil.
These were a few healthy habits I adopted, you can also try for the same and enhance your and your family’s health.
