I am born and brought up in India, so I am well aware of the common culture and living habits of Indians. While living outside India it becomes easy to analyze and compare behaviors of people from different origins.
Indian people deal with six types of seasons

  1. Spring
  2. Summer
  3. Monsoon
  4. Autumn
  5. Pre-winter
  6. Winter
during all these, when the weather changes common cold or flu is very normal here.

So I am here with some common habits that Indians are living with from ages, which other countries are adopting now.
I have divided this post into three parts for better readability and understanding.
1)Eating habits
2)Cleaning habits
3)Common etiquette

Eating Habits

Most of the population all around the world know the fact that we add a variety of spices in our food. People think that spices destroy the quality of food and make it unhealthy, but I must acknowledge that adding spices wrongly decrease the health benefits. Different spices have their own healing power and at the same time, they enhance the digestion of food.
1)Adding cumin, carom seeds, cinnamon, cloves and much more not only enhances immunity but also improves digestion of food.
2)Drinking a different kind of tea also helps us to deal with common cold and flue. For example, it’s a common practice to add ginger, cloves, cinnamon, basil, jaggery, etc in tea. All these ingredients help to increase immunity.
3)If you get a chance to visit different places in India, you will come to know that we have a vast variety of food and snacks available with health benefits also.

Cleaning habits

Common cleaning habits which we are used to from log long ago and it really works. I know many people would debate that India is clean as compared to other western cities but I must tell you that not now.
1) We never relied on tissue papers for cleaning, cleaning with water, and wiping with cotton clothes is general practice here.
2) We take a bath in the morning and in the evening after coming from our work. So bathing twice a day helps you to reduce most of the germs.
3)Cleaning with natural ingredients like mopping with saltwater, wiping with soap water, or a bit of baking soda. Studies have proved that cleaning with chemicals frequently can cause damage to the lungs and different organs.

Common Etiquette

1) We do “Namaste” when we meet someone, with joined hands and a smile on the face. Now after COVID-19 entire world has learned the safest way of greeting, that is “NAMASTE”.
2)We put our shoes off when we get inside of our houses, most of the houses in India have shoe racks outside their room. This habit of not taking outside dust with your shoes inside the house helps to make your house cleaner. Even the guest also maintain the same act while getting inside, they put off their shoes outside the living room.
3)Either we are pessimistic or optimistic, we believe in morning meditation and yoga. With a variety of religions, we all posses morning prayers in our own way. Prayers make you stronger, let you stay away from anxiety.
4)Smoking is injurious to health, not only for the person but also for the people around them. Smoking in public places is banned in India, so at least those who are bot smoking and living less polluted cities can save their lungs from weakening up fast.

We are the second most populated country in the world. We have developed a better way to live together. Despite more than four family members in the same house, we know how to clean and survive in it happily. If you think that this content is worth, share it with your friends and family.
So the world can learn a few techniques from India to improve your immunity. Also if you know anything else which should be added to this list don’t hesitate to write it in the comment box.
